Cable management systems manufacturer Igus GmbH is widening the availability of its new range of energy tubes, the Triflex system.
The tubes are designed to be used on energy supplies travelling over three levels or axes. The Triflex Energy Tubes are made up of square chain link and work on the principle of simply being able to push cables and hoses into the energy chain, which should also make the changing of cables quicker and easier.
Igus recommends the Triflex system for use in welding applications, handling and assembly, tool changing and pick-and-place robots. The Triflex system won a ‘European Union IF Design Award for Industry 2000’ earlier this year.
