This makes Energy Cranes the exclusive OEM parts and service suppliers worldwide for offshore cranes built by American Aero, Titan Industries, Houston Systems, Weatherford Cranes, Bucyrus Erie and, of course, Energy Cranes themselves.

There are believed to be some 250 large Bucyrus Erie cranes in offshore service, while Energy Cranes estimates the combined total of Energy Cranes, American Aero, Titan Industries, Houston Systems, Weatherford Cranes and Bucyrus Erie in service worldwide to be in excess of 2,000 units.

“Our aim is to provide customers with an authoritative, fast-action parts identification and ordering facility,” said Energy Cranes global parts manager Mike Robertson.

He added: “This gives customers maximum flexibility. If they simply want a part supplied in its box, our international parts desk in Houston will deliver. But they still have the opportunity to have the part supplied and fitted – individually or as part of a refurbishment – through any of our 18 service centres worldwide.”
