Mike Beres, vice president of Engineered Rigging, highlighted the significance of dynamic testing in enhancing equipment performance and longevity. “Dynamic testing is a game changer for preventive maintenance,” Beres said. “It optimizes equipment safety and performance and helps extend the life of your high-pressure equipment.”
Unlike traditional static testing, which only applies pressure at a limited number of levels, dynamic testing simulates a real-world, maximum load situation—pressurizing equipment at 105% of its capacity. This method is capable of identifying internal damage or wear, such as scratches that could lead to leaks or failures. The full-stroke dynamic test offers a more thorough evaluation than static testing, which typically only tests a few pressure points.
Engineered Rigging’s new testing process involves a four-step procedure using Holmatro’s digital testing equipment. The process includes a multipoint visual inspection, dynamic testing across the full stroke of the cylinder, repairs or replacement of any faulty components, and a final cleaning to ensure the equipment is returned in optimal condition. Once the equipment passes the dynamic test, Engineered Rigging issues a Safety & Performance Tested Certificate, which can be added to the equipment owner’s maintenance records.
Christopher Cox, PE, president of Engineered Rigging, emphasized the company’s commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. “Safety is a cornerstone of our company, and we are thrilled to offer our clients an affordable and convenient way to optimize their preventive maintenance program,” Cox said.
In addition to dynamic testing, Engineered Rigging provides services for hydraulic gantries, skidding systems, jacking systems, and other hydraulic equipment. The company is an Authorized Enerpac Service Center and a Holmatro Premium Service Partner.
To showcase its new testing capabilities, Engineered Rigging will host live demonstrations during its Equipment Showcase on May 6-8, 2025. Registration for the free event is available at engineeredrigginggroup.com/equipment-showcase.
