Although it crosses an international border, the subsidiary is only based in St. Petersburg, about 400km (250 mi) away from Erikkila’s headquarters near Helsinki, Finland.
The company will handle crane and hoisting equipment sales, installation and service. “The subsidiary was established to enter the Russian market and to enable Russian customers, distributors and western investors easy buying of ERIKKILA-cranes duty paid and installed in Russia,” the company said.
The company is named “OOO Erikkila”. Sergei Brauman is the new firm’s managing director.
The new company has already delivered 11 cranes to the new Nokian Tyres plant in St. Petersburg with a total value of 250,000 Euros.
