The old power plant in Lubmin, near the town of Greifswald, is being dismantled to make way for a new power and technology centre in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Work dismantling the old power plant is scheduled for completion in 2012.
The gantry cranes, with capacities of 125t and 25t, were used to lift loads in an interim storage facility at the site.
A Terex A 350/6 all terrain crane and a Terex AC 200-1 all terrain crane were employed in a tandem lift operation to remove the gantry cranes from the storage facility.
The work was completed in two and a half working days, including assembly and disassembly time for the all terrain cranes.
