The hoists now offer a spark-resistant design, and an emergency stop function that prevents the chain from breaking and causing injury. The line also now offers an all-steel construction, designed to ensure reliable operation and to provide durability even in harsh manufacturing environments, says the company.
The heavy-lift hoists are now available in 1t, 2t, 3t and 6t capacities, with a modular and compact design making the series suitable for installation in tight spaces. The 1t and 2t models offer the option of a stainless steel chain, a common requirement in the chemical industry.
The gear motors are highly efficient and reliable, says Ingersoll Rand, with only two moving parts—making the LC2A almost maintenance-free, even after inactive downtime.
The new hoists are also sold with trolleys in a single trolley-hoist assembly, rather than separate components.
