Belgium-based crane control and safety systems provider Indic has announced the acquisition of UK-based Irugasa Remote Control Systems.
The acquisition builds on an existing partnership between Indic and Irugasa, spanning three decades, and aims to expand Indic’s reach and enhance its market position.
Irugasa has played a key role in delivering advanced solutions, such as the i-C4C overhead crane overload protection devices and collaborated on Danfoss remote control systems.
The acquisition allows Indic to incorporate the UK Build Centre for Danfoss Remote Controls and strengthens Indic’s presence in the UK market.
Irugasa retiring managing director, Paul Johnston, will oversee a smooth transition during the acquisition process.
Paul Johnston said: “This acquisition is the culmination of many years of collaboration with Luc and Indic. I am confident that the resources and vision of Indic will elevate Irugasa’s legacy and continue to provide exceptional value to our loyal customers.

The acquisition brings together Irugasa’s technical expertise and service support with Indic and Incosa Solutions, enhancing the group’s capabilities in the UK.
The combined knowledge and experience of Irugasa and Indic are expected to foster a more innovative future.
Irugasa’s UK customers will benefit from Indic’s expanded resources, global expertise, and research and development capabilities.
They can access advanced Danfoss radio controls, a broader product portfolio, and enhanced local support and service.
The partnership aims to advance industries by focusing on safety, reliability, and innovation.
In addition, the collaboration will improve access to Incosa Solutions’ advanced hoist control and crane safety systems for UK customers.
