IiP accreditation is an internationally recognised standard, and Mechan said securing the honour is recognition of “the quality of its staff and services”. Mechan is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, which it said made IiP accreditation even more special.

An independent assessor measured Mechan’s business against the IiP framework to highlight areas for improvement to meet the standard. Mechan was then able to tackle these areas and “strengthen its internal procedures and improve its business performance,” the company said.

“We are extremely pleased to be awarded the accreditation, particularly in our anniversary year, as we believe it will reassure both new and existing customers and suppliers that they are dealing with an organisation that performs at the highest level,” said Richard Carr, managing director at Mechan.

2009 has also seen Mechan pass the ISO 9001:2008 international management standard qualification, which is used to ensure the quality of a company’s management practices.
