All products in this range can now be supplied with the DN control pendants, incorporating larger diameter hose feeds, capable of utilising the full airline flow and pressure (6 bar), to take advantage of the robust vane motor capacities.
“An approximate 30% increase in rope speeds can be achieved,” JDN claimed, “without any adjustment required to the recommended load capacities. Where time taken on the lift/lowering procedures represents the major part of a handling process, then appreciable savings can result from higher production efficiencies without any compromise in operating safety,” it added.
Long drum versions of the same products can now also be fitted with axially split rope drums. To achieve this, an additional drum flange divides the rope drum into two equal parts. This flange incorporates four rope-end fastenings, two for each drum section, with contra-orientation.
All the lifter/pullers in the range are manufactured with durable steel structures to provide lift capacities of 1,200 or 2,000kg, and pulling capacities of 1,800 or 3,000kg. Planetary gearboxes are exhaust-air cooled and incorporated into the drums for minimum maintenance and maximum reliability even at a 100% duty cycle. “With local lever or pendant controls, the winches are easy to install, have low noise levels and provide variable-speed operation with shut-off valves incorporated as standard,” JDN concluded.
