Ketten Wälder has announced a significant expansion of its Cromox brand, a premium line of stainless steel lifting products, across its global warehouses. The move, aimed at bolstering availability and customer service, comes as the company seeks to reinforce the growing demand for its Cromox Chain Hoist (CCH) and Cromox Hoist Trolley (CHT) models.
Founded in 1948, Ketten Wälder introduced its Cromox range around 17 years ago. Since then, the brand has gained recognition for its high-quality stainless steel lifting solutions, especially within industries requiring stringent safety and material handling standards, such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, cleanroom environments, and hazardous areas.
In 2019, the company launched the Cromox CCH and CHT, offering these products to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and dealers worldwide. The hoist and trolley are specifically designed for demanding applications where reliability, corrosion resistance, and adherence to standards such as ATEX and IECEx are essential.
Recently, Ketten Wälder increased its stock in three key global locations — Germany, the UK, and the United States — to ensure faster delivery and improved service to its growing customer base. The company is also taking steps to remind industry partners of the benefits these high-performance lifting products offer.
“We have the broadest range of tested, certified, and rated stainless steel lifting products available. Since launching the CCH and CHT combination in 2020, we are now focused on revitalizing our supply chain and ensuring that end users in key sectors, and beyond, are able to fully leverage the advantages of these products. In high-stakes environments where ATEX and IECEx criteria apply, there are simply no better material handling solutions,” sad Roman Auer, chief technical director, Ketten Wälder.
The Cromox hoist range, which includes models with capacities from 0.63t to 3t, is built from Grade 60 stainless steel and undergoes AISI 316L / AISI 318LN duplex testing for maximum durability and performance. The hoists are equipped with a patented sealing system designed for cleanroom use, corrosion-resistant components, and a load hook that rotates easily under full load. Customization options include low headroom versions and various attachment points, with personalized chain lengths available upon request.
The Cromox trolley is designed to work seamlessly with the CCH hoist, enabling precise load positioning along beams. Available for load capacities ranging from 0.63t to 3t, the trolleys are also made from stainless steel Grade 60 and are built to the highest safety and performance standards, ensuring reliability in a wide range of industrial applications.
Ketten Wälder’s global expansion comes at a time when the demand for high-performance, stainless steel lifting solutions is expected to continue growing. As industries increasingly require specialized, corrosion-resistant equipment for sensitive environments, the Cromox product line is positioned to meet these needs.
Auer added, “Our business is strong, and we anticipate even greater interest in our products as we head into 2025. As a niche, high-tech company with a broad industry base, we are committed to ensuring our stainless steel lifting products remain the solution of choice for customers around the world.”
