The new structure consists of the group executive board and the extended management team. Group executive board members are: Pekka Lundmark, president and CEO, and chairman of the group executive board; Hannu Rusanen, executive vice president and head of the service business area; Mikko Uhari, executive vice president and head of the equipment business area; Harry Ollila, executive vice president and head of market operations; Teo Ottola, CFO; Pekka Lettijeff, chief procurement officer; and Ari Kiviniitty, chief technology officer.
In addition to the group executive board members, the members of the extended management team include the senior vice presidents of the regional organisations; the vice president of the general counsel; the vice president of human resources; the vice president, marketing and communications; and the chief information officer.
Alongside these changes, as of 1 September, Ryan Flynn has been working as senior vice president and head of Konecranes’ operations in the Northeast Asia region, as well as becoming a member of the company’s extended management team. Flynn previously worked for Konecranes as director, ports, Northeast and Southeast Asia. He replaces Ollila, who moved to his new role as of 1 September.
Also as of 1 December, Konecranes’ chief information officer, Antti Koskelin, became a member of the company’s extended management team, as the use of modern information technology in business operations is of strategic importance, Konecranes said.
Standard lifting business segment president Pekka Päkkilä is to leave Konecranes on 1 February, 2010. Päkkilä has also served as since senior vice president and head of Konecranes’ operations in the new Nordic, East Europe and India (NEI) geographical region and a member of the extended management team. He will be replaced as senior vice president and head of Konecranes’ operations in the NEI region by Aku Lehtinen as of 1 February, 2010.
In addition, Tomas Myntti has been appointed director, industrial cranes, in the NEI region as of 1 January, 2010. Myntti previously worked as director, market operations, leading the development of global account management, sales management, sales process support and development of solution marketing. Myntti will report to Lehtinen, and in matrix to Ilpo Hakala, vice president and head of industrial cranes.
