With Ollila’s departure, a new member will join the board. Fabio Fiorino has gained extensive experience within Konecranes since joining in 1995. He has not only been head of business area service for the region of the Americas, but has also been president of materials handling groups, Morris Material Handling and R&M Material Handling. He will replace Hannu Rusanen as VP and head of business area equipment.

Ollila’s successor for the position of executive VP and head of market operations is Mikko Uhari, who will manage Konecranes’ regional and country bodies, as well as global accounts. Uhari is currently executive vice president and head of business area equipment.

To fill the gap left by Uhari, Hannu Rusanen will become the new executive VP and head of business area equipment.

Pekka Lundmark, president and CEO of Konecranes, said: “I am convinced that this job rotation will inject new energy into our entire management team. When experienced people get new responsibilities they will be able to take a fresh view on things, speeding our development. I am also pleased that we will continue to have Harry Ollila’s remarkable experience available to us even though he has chosen to step down from his day-to-day duties at market operations,” he said.
