Konecranes has secured an order to supply eight overhead cranes to PT Beka Wire Indonesia for its manufacturing facility in Subang. The order includes a mix of cranes to support various stages of the company’s production process and will be delivered in March 2025.

“Given the challenging nature of our manufacturing processes, we needed cranes that could ensure smooth material handling across our facility. We believe Konecranes provides the right solution for that,” said Sandy Suryadi, MD, PT Beka Wire Indonesia.

The order comprises three 5-ton cranes for the galvanizing line, where they will be used in both production and assembly, along with three additional 5-ton cranes for the warehouse to manage finished goods and spare parts. These cranes will operate on runways that span nearly 200 meters. Additionally, two 3-ton cranes, each with a 40-meter runway, will be used in the pickling area to assist in the dip and galvanizing process.

To ensure durability in the harsh conditions of the facility, the cranes will feature specialized components. This includes a hot-dip galvanizing treatment for the overhead crane girder structure and hoist parts, which will be coated with C5 protection for long-term resilience.

Bobby Cangkrama, sales director, Konecranes Indonesia, added: “This order reflects our focus on understanding the unique requirements of PT Beka Wire Indonesia and providing cranes that help optimize their production flow, ensuring safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime.”
