Kuli offers lifting equipment ranging in capacity from 125kg electric chain hoists up to a curved monorail trolley which can lift 192t. The latter was showed at CeMAT in 2005.

Showcased on the Kuli stand this year will be a complete full scale double girder overhead travelling crane with a span of 10m including a catwalk. Loads up to 63t can be lifted by a compact RS-ZEWZ9630 hoist with only four rope falls over a maximum height of 20m – specifications that formerly could be achieved by open winches only.

All travel drives are frequency controlled to allow a smooth and swinging reduced load handling. For minimal wear of the crane and hoist, wheels are equipped with guide rollers.

Kuli cranes range from 1-200t capacity in single and double girder type.

Kuli recently supplied a gantry crane to a consortium contracted for the erection of two tunnels in the Leipzig Main Railway Station. Many different solutions, like the application of a tower crane, had been examined for supplying construction equipment into the tunnels.

But, with limited space inside the railway station building, a Kuli 16/3.2t gantry crane with 22.5m span and two cantilevers of 9.5m and 2.0m length was chosen.

The maximum wheel loads limited the structural crane design since the crane rails had to be positioned just on the sheet piles of an excavation of a large pit for supplying equipment direct to the site located 28m under the main girder.

The arrangement of the crane girder aside the legs permits turning of long goods around the supports. The 16t capacity hoist is used to handle high-value machiney with slow speeds. Travel drives in all directions are equipped with inverter controlled stepless speeds up to 50m/min.

The 3.2t capacity auxiliary hoist can travel up to 20m/min. Both hoists are equipped with electronic lifting force limiters, monitoring functional conditions as to loads, times and motor temperatures. For precise handling the crane is equipped with a radio remote control and a push button station and can be controlled from a crane operator’s stand on one of the end carriages. A motorised cable drum supplies the crane with current on its 90m long travel distance.
