Lenze has developed a mechatronic braking system designed to provide cost effective variable braking torque for use in industrial applications such as cranes and electrically-powered vehicles.
The system comprises the BFK458 spring-operated brake, used widely in hoists and lifts, and the Moditorque control, a low cost electronic control unit that provides variable torque.
