This year’s event will be held at an as-yet unannounced venue in Pittsburgh on 28 August. Dan Meckstroth, chief economist at the manufacturers alliance MAPI, will be the keynote speaker and will present his views on macroeconomics and forecasts for the US and global economy for 2010 and beyond.
In light of the economic situation and its impact on member companies, this year’s event will require no registration fee, will be held in Pittsburgh to centralize the event for members and minimize travel expenses, and will include low-cost or no-cost meeting space in downtown Pittsburgh.
General counsel Art Stroyd, of Del Sole, Cavanaugh and Stroyd, has offered to host a cocktail reception the evening before the conference.
