Modulift was set up in 2003 by founders Nick Latham and Sue Caples, as an engineering and design consultancy specialising in the production of spreader beams ranging in capacity from 2-5,000t with span widths from 0.2-53m.
Earlier this year, it set up a US business and is preparing to roll out a distribution model into the European market.
Chris Batten, CEO of the newly formed US business and head of global sales, said: “This unique product is the perfect solution when steel prices are on the increase and fuel prices are effecting everyone.”
Modulift plans to name “many more” distributors of the product range across the EU “over the next few months, offering significant deals and support programmes,” Batten added.
The plan is to concentrate on the EU for the time being and in particular Italy, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, he added.
