This latest development comes in the wake of Morris Material Handling establishing a strategic partnership towards the end of last year with Bacou-Dalloz, a leading player in the field of fall arrest/protection systems and personal protection equipment. Indeed, it is Söll Fall Protection Systems from Bacou-Dalloz that Height Safety Solutions will be promoting through the well-known Morris Institute and Morris’s nationwide network of Service Centres.

Morris Material Handling operations director maintenance services Pat Campbell said: “We wanted to differentiate our capabilities when it came to the field of working at height, hence why the decision was taken to establish a division dedicated to what is a very important area of operation. Height Safety Solutions serves to provide customers with the ultimate protection systems for those involved in working at heights, not only as a means of meeting the latest regulations introduced last year but to further protect the health, safety and welfare of employees.”

As well as the design, installation and implementation of both horizontal and vertical working at height lifeline systems, the division will also provide full training, ongoing consultation, and comprehensive inspection, maintenance and service packages. Provision of height rescue solutions will also be catered for.

In relation to working at height systems installations, Height Safety Solutions will be supporting Bacou-Dalloz’s permanent fall arrest systems – the Söll Xenon Horizontal Lifeline System and Söll GlideLoc Safe Climbing System.

The Söll Xenon Horizontal Lifeline can meet all requirements for fixed safety systems, combining a secure anchorage with excellent mobility, for any type of work at height.

Morris called it the “perfect tool for engineers, contractors and architects” to provide secure access on buildings or industrial sites. Permanently installed on buildings, towers, masts etc, the GlideLoc Safe Climbing System comprises a guided type fall arrester, vertical and horizontal guide rails or fall protection ladders, and a variety of brackets and accessories that adapt the system to most structural profiles.
