Lapp Cable has added a range of internationally approved PVC control cables to its Ölflex product line. Complementing the range of VDE approved cables the new ones comply with standards in North America as well as Europe.

Approval marks include UL (Underwriters Laboratories), CSA (Canadian Standards Association), HAR (Harmonised) and the CE mark which indicates compliance with the European Low Voltage Directive (LVD).

Ölflex 140 is a new harmonised control cable for use in dry or wet conditions where there is free movement but not tensile stress. The 150 Quattro is aimed at a wide range of applications, such as machine control equipment, where there are moderate mechanical stresses. For light to medium stress industrial applications the 190 is typically specified for power and data transmission, indoors or out, in dry or damp conditions.

Insulation and sheathing of all three cables is PVC and the flexing temperature range for the 140 and 150 is between -5°C and +70°C, and for the 190 the maximum is 90°C. Working voltage for the 190 is 600V, 300V for the 140 and 500V for the 150.
