Ateliers de la Chainette (ADC) of France increased its exports by more than 25% in 1997 thanks to new distribution set-ups in Canada, Israel, Singapore and South Africa.

It also reports having grown in existing markets of Europe and the Middle East, after four years of international activity, with such clients as Caterpillar and Shell.

Though ADC mainly supplies hoists and components to major crane manufacturers, it is also active in special applications such as steel mils and container handling gantry systems.

For Mercedes, ADC designed a crane concept for handling the side and roof panels of buses during construction. It also used its semi-circular crane beam and unit, originally designed to work in the roof of the Paris Metro’s tunnels, for travelling the flange inside submarines.
