Wampfler has launched an energy chain that it claims can be used where others cannot.
The guide, branded Mamba, uses an extrusion-moulded PVC and can fit two flat cables separated by a band.
Outer width is 84mm (3 1/4 in), functions in temperatures down to –30°C, (-22°F), and is UV-resistant so can be used outside.
The system fits crane bridges with widths up to 30m (98 ft).
It attaches to the crane bridge with Velcro and only two screw joints.
