Austrian crane and aerial work platform manufacturer Palfinger has opened an Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) service facility in Himberg, Vienna. The facility replaces an existing building in Münchendor which has closed, after all operations were transferred to larger premises in Himberg.
It includes 700 m² of workshop space along with a 1,000m² test site. The company has also been recruiting new staff to cope with growing demand. The premises will allow the company to take on more testing, maintenance and servicing of aerial work platforms and tail lifts, as well as the conversion of new equipment, the preparation of used equipment and the retrofitting of accessories.

With the Himberg location, we are getting a significant step closer to the optimal availability of our services. In cooperation with sales, we are in the best possible position to serve the market in Austria,” said Gerhard Sturm, SVP global sales & service, Palfinger.
