Felten and Kiewiet both have previous experience with Prolyte, with Felten previously employed as production manager and Kiewiet joining the company in October 2008 to head up its sales and marketing team.
The appointments complete the gradual transition of the Prolyte management team, following the purchase of the majority of shares by investment company Halder Invest, part of the Belgian-based GIMV investment group, in 2007.
Other members of the management team include Erica Helmus, controller, and Douwe der Leeuw, manager P&O.
Fokko Smeding, founder and shareholder of Prolyte, will maintain a role in the company, including his professional vision and plans for the future.
“Being able to put daily operations in capable hands leaves me room to do what I’m best at,” said Smeding.
“My involvement with Prolyte will remain significant; laying out plans for the future holds a big challenge for me, all the more because this business is a thrill to work in.”
