Prolyte said the course was being organised due to the rapid growth in the region’s entertainment industry and the demand for skilled and trained riggers.

The course will cover basic theoretical rigging skills and truss technology, as well as a hands-on workshop.

Rinus Bakker, managing director of Rhino Rigs Netherlands, will lead the course. Prolyte said Bakker is a veteran of rigging for the entertainment industry and has been conducting rigging course for the last two decades.

The five-day course takes place 4-8 October.
