New hoists from manufacturers around the world were launched at the ProMat show in Chicago in February.
Among the new product offerings was a chain hoist exhibited by the UK’s Street Crane. The CX is available in a range of capacities from 250kg to 2t.
A hoist new to the USA from the newly renamed Demag Cranes & Components was the DH variable speed wire rope unit with infinitely variable inverter speed control.
Morris launched its M series of P&H Hevi-Lift wire rope hoists. Available since the start of the year are models from 1 US ton to 5 US ton. In June 10 US ton and 15 US ton models will be made available, and around the end of the year hoists up to 30 US ton safe working load are promised.
Other new product on show included a digital crane scale from Intercomp and a radio remote control from Control Chief.
