RiConnect has appointed Holloway Houston as its distributor for the Americas, expanding its cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) offering in North and South America.
Holloway, based in Houston, Texas, will distribute RiConnect’s SaaS solutions to the oil and gas, construction, and other industries throughout the Americas. The company will leverage its strategically located facility to complement its established range of lifting and rigging products, including wire rope, chain, and below-the-hook hardware.
With a workforce of 200 employees, Holloway has built a strong reputation in the industry over the past 40 years. The company manufactures and stocks lifting and rigging equipment, including brands such as Kito Crosby, William Hackett, Royal Van Beest, and YOKE. Holloway also offers load monitoring technologies and operates a world-class testing facility.
RiConnect is focused on simplifying and digitalizing compliance and traceability processes for equipment management. The company has pioneered the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips, enabling users to track pre-use checks and maintain unique identification numbers for lifting equipment. By transitioning to paperless systems, organizations can improve maintenance accuracy, safety checks, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance, while facilitating smoother information sharing.
“We are in a phase of aggressive growth, and now is the perfect time to introduce RiConnect’s Compliance Management System to our markets. The system supports companies in industries such as oil and gas, offshore, and more, helping them manage regulatory requirements related to pre-use checks, inspections, maintenance, and calibration. It fits perfectly with our core products,” a spokesman for Holloway said.
One of the standout features of RiConnect’s system is its offline mode, which allows users to perform tasks like pre-use checks, maintenance, and inspections even without an internet connection. This feature is particularly relevant for industries operating in remote or offshore environments where connectivity may be a challenge. RiConnect’s offline capability ensures that compliance management remains seamless, even in areas with limited connectivity.
Holloway’s customers will appreciate that RiConnect’s system enhances key pillars such as compliance, traceability, status monitoring, and support for Net Zero initiatives. By digitalizing and simplifying equipment management, RiConnect strengthens Holloway’s commitment to improving safety and efficiency for clients in various sectors.
“Our commitment to excellent customer service sets us apart from our competitors. Our clients return to us because we provide specialized services and products that meet their needs. Our successful ‘lunch and learn’ sessions demonstrate that our customer base is eager to explore new ways to enhance safety and efficiency. As we continue to grow, we look forward to integrating RiConnect’s technology alongside our renowned lifting and rigging hardware,” added the spokesman.
