RiConnect has secured a three-year Headline Sponsorship for the upcoming LiftEx shows, beginning with this year’s event, scheduled for November 18-19 at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool, UK.
The company, known for its cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, continues its commitment to digitalising compliance and traceability processes for equipment management, having previously held the same sponsorship at last year’s LiftEx in London.
The sponsorship will showcase RiConnect’s use of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips to enhance safety, maintenance, and compliance for lifting and industrial equipment. This technology enables users to perform pre-use checks and track unique identification numbers, all while eliminating paper-based systems. The company aims to improve accuracy in safety checks, incident reports, and regulatory compliance through seamless information sharing.
At the event, RiConnect will once again share an exhibit space with YOKE Industrial Corp., a manufacturer of industrial lifting equipment. This co-location provides RiConnect an opportunity to demonstrate its RFID technology, including chips embedded in a 7mm connector and 1-ton capacity shackle, with an app and desktop site to capture data. This technology is designed to appeal to companies looking to digitalise their products and enhance safety.
Rob Whitehurst-Maiden, sales manager at RiConnect, emphasized the importance of the sponsorship, noting, “This long-term commitment reflects our strong partnership with LEEA [the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association] and our dedication to supporting innovation and digital transformation within the lifting industry. LiftEx is a pivotal industry event, providing an exceptional platform to showcase cutting-edge digital solutions and lifting innovations.”
In addition to RFID technology, RiConnect will spotlight its Digital Product Passports (DPP), a key offering aligned with the European Union’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). The DPP records lifecycle information of products, including material composition, energy performance, maintenance guidelines, and recycling methods, helping companies meet compliance and transparency requirements while supporting sustainability and circular economy goals.
The company will also feature its Compliance Management System, known as CTSN, which supports compliance, traceability, and Net Zero initiatives. Embraced globally, CTSN is backed by RiConnect’s subsidiaries in the UK and US, as well as partners across the Middle East, Hong Kong, Iceland, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Whitehurst-Maiden reflected on the success of last year’s sponsorship, stating, “Our 2024 Headline Sponsorship was highly successful, significantly increasing brand awareness, attracting key decision-makers, and generating valuable business opportunities.” He added that the event enabled the company to showcase its leadership in digital compliance and asset management for lifting equipment, with positive feedback reinforcing the value of continuing the sponsorship.
RiConnect plans to provide more details on its multifaceted Headline Sponsorship as the event approaches.
