A.P. Moller – Maersk, APM Terminals and Suez Canal Container Terminal celebrated Global Safety Day recently focusing on how it can continue to improve on safety.

With the theme ‘Curiosity, Because We Care’ the company says it strives to build a habit of genuine curiosity, asking open questions, and having honest conversations to identify potential hazards and promote excellent safety practices in its work environment.

“By doing so, we learn, respond, improve, and most importantly, keep each other safe,” spokesman said.

“At SCCT, we recognize the critical risks such as fire, dropped objects, or man overboard situations that are realities in our industry. Even if incidents don’t occur, these risks remain and can seriously harm our colleagues if not properly addressed. Through our processes and standards, we protect our frontline experts by learning from them about the daily work conditions they face. Together, we make safe work easier to achieve.

“To learn is to be curious every day. We make it a habit to have honest conversations about the good, the bad, and the ugly. This approach allows us to become a culture that welcomes continuous learning and improvement from both failures and successes.”

During the speech of  Keld Mosgaard Christensen, CEO, he stressed that the safety of people is not just a priority; it is a value it must uphold with unwavering commitment every single day.
