Both models are made out of modules with electric vacuum generators, operator handles, main and cross beams and a range of suction pads.

The VacuMaster Basic holds a crane pendant control on its handle. The crane pendant control mounts on the attachment’s handle. It has fewer parts than before, and 20% lighter than the older version. The vacuum tube valve is now fitted with a sprung connection to help prevent sticking in between on and off positions.

The VacuMaster Comfort model, also scheduled to launch at the same time, integrates the hoist controls on the same control panel as the vacuum controls. A solenoid valve with a two-hand circuit for switching off the vacuum provides more safety during handling of workpieces. The vacuum lifting device VacuMaster COMFORT is also equipped with a regulated vacuum pump with automatic power-saving function and is delivered complete with a chain hoist or, as an option, with a frequency-regulated chain hoist.

The two models replace the VacuMaster Vario.

Three basic versions are available, for lifting loads that lie flat (maximum capacity 750kg), for lifting and for swivelling them by 90° to the vertical position (maximum capacity 500kg) or for lifting them and turning them through 180° (maximum capacity 250kg). Swivelling and turning are carried out with the aid of an electrical linear drive. The main structural beam includes a vacuum reservoir.

The company has not yet decided whether to supply the Comfort model with SWF or Abus chain hoists, according to marketing manager Hartmut Schlee. The chosen supplier would need to supply either a two-speed or inverter-controlled hoist, he said. Abus already supplies Schmalz with jib cranes for the hose lift and Vacuumaster series.
