Daktronics disputes the charge.
In a prepared statement issued by Hoffend & Sons, Daktronics “was to provide payments to Hoffend shareholders contingent on financial milestones for the Vortek system, as well as regular financial reporting.” The complaint was filed in April 2008.
The Vortek system, patented by Hoffend & Sons, is an automatic stage-rigging system used in a variety of venues including the Eastman Theatre and the Wells Fargo Pavilion in Sacramento, California.
