The ZX88 is based on the design of other hoists in the ZX6-8 range and is the largest in the series. It can be supplied in kit form to allow local assembly, with design principles such as unitary construction, an open plan design and standardisation of components included. Street Crane is also developing the ZX10, a 50t SWL model, which is scheduled to be launched later this year.

Street Crane says crane kits and hoists are an increasingly large part of its business, with a growing network of international crane builders using its products. Two Australian firms, Supercrane and SLP, and Modularcranes now use the ZX6-8 hoists in their cranes.

“Although complete cranes remain a very important part of our business, the supply of crane kits and hoists represents more than half of our turnover and we expect this growth to continue,” managing director Andrew Pimblett. “This collaborative approach has allowed us to build a world network of partners.”
