The cranes have been supplied and installed by Akhanani Electromechanical Engineering, a local manufacturer and distributor of Verlinde cranes, and will be used for assembly, repair and maintenance work.
The installation includes three 20t capacity EOT cranes and one 30t, 17.33m span double girder EOT crane. All the cranes have a lift height of 6m and are pendant controlled.
Akhanani has also signed a service and maintenance agreement with Terex Africa to provide future care for the equipment.
