Climbing hoists are commonly found in theatres and studios in the entertainment industry. A major advantage is that the hoist is suspended from the chain mounted hook and climbs or descends with the load. Installation therefore only requires the hook and chain to be lifted to the anchoring point instead of the complete hoist mechanism.

Based on the DMK series, a range of models with SWLs of up to 2t is available. Modular design means hoists can be easily modified for specific applications and Clayton also claims excellent closed headroom dimensions.

Modularity is also a feature of Clayton’s Millennium range of overhead cranes, available as single or double girder versions, either top running or underslung.

The modular approach means that any combination of lifting capacity, headroom and span can be met, says Clayton.
