The rigging training is a new subject area for ToolingU.com and will focus on proper attachment; the use of cables, chains, slings and hoists; load calculations; and rigging safety. ToolingU.com said it sees the rigging training as complementary to its existing entry-level topics such as shop math, print reading and safety.
ToolingU.com offers online training focused on the needs of manufacturers, including packages for machinists, maintenance professionals, welders and assemblers.
ToolingU.com has launched the rigging training as part of a package of new courses, which also includes robotics and welding.
“The rigging is more of a core topic that cuts across a very broad range of potential users,” said Chad Schron, vice president of ToolingU.com.
