Ireland-based Gunnebo Lifting recently acquired Verlinde distributor Farrell O’Brien. The newly combined group – which operates under the name of Gunnebo Lifting – became the sole distributor for the full Verlinde range in both Eire and Northern Ireland.
But, only now, will Stagemaker products be available to customers. The division will provide hoists and controllers for the theatrical and entertainment industry.
Jim Donoghue, of Gunnebo, said: “This is a new venture and a new market for Gunnebo, who are committed to putting in place the necessary resources to make this new partnership work for all parties.” He added: “We are already delivering strong sales of the Verlinde range and I see no reason why we can’t diversify into this new market with equal success.”
Verlinde UK sales and marketing manager Simon Rothechild said: “The Gunnebo partnership is already yielding terrific results across the core Verlinde product range and it seemed a natural decision to encourage Gunnebo to offer the Stagemaker range as well.”
Gunnebo Lifting Ireland is part of the Sweden-based multinational industry group Gunnebo Industrier AB, working in the design and manufacture of high-quality lifting equipment.
Gunnebo Lifting in Ireland has been in business since 1996 and is presently employing 35 full-time members of staff distributed on the Dublin and Cork offices. WH Scott in Belfast became part of the group in May 2000, and is currently employing 18 full-time members of staff.
The standard range of Gunnebo Lifting’s products covers the handling of goods up to 125t.
