WireCo has introduced its latest product, the Casar Lazerlift, a new generation of rotation-resistant hoist rope designed for heavy-duty crane operations. The company unveiled the new product at the ongoing Bauma Munich trade fair.

The Lazerlift hoist rope is specifically engineered to cater to the needs of large telescopic, crawler, and high-capacity tower cranes. It is built to withstand the extreme conditions of overhead crane operations, where safety and reliability are crucial.

WireCo Crane Ropes chief engineer Johannes Weirich said: “The Lazerlift hoist rope represents our latest breakthrough in rope design, and one that we expect will follow in the footsteps of our other well-known crane ropes.

“We have met crane operator needs with a rope that has superior spooling behavior along with a superior MBF (Minimum Breaking Force).”

Proven to offer an extended service life through rigorous testing and practical application, the Lazerlift rope is designed to handle extreme radial stress while maintaining its breaking strength, making it a robust solution for heavy-lifting applications. This introduction marks a significant advancement in lifting technologies, offering enhanced strength and efficiency, the company said.

WireCo Global Steel Engineering SVP David Rowatt said: “As wind turbines grow taller and lifting demands intensify, so do the pressures on hoist ropes. Lazerlift is designed to tackle these challenges head-on, offering exceptional strength, longevity, and resilience.

“With its advanced engineering, Lazerlift minimizes downtime and maintenance, ensuring operators stay ahead in a competitive industry.”

The company will showcase the LAZERLIFT, along with its Boomfit and Durascend rope applications at Bauma.
