Dubai Trade is upgrading its Digital Delivery Order (DDO) platform to a new service called Trade+, marking a significant step in enhancing the efficiency of trade operations across Dubai’s supply chain and logistics sectors. The revamped platform aims to further streamline processes and accelerate the cargo release workflow.
Trade+ facilitates the seamless, digital exchange of cargo release documents among shipping lines, freight forwarders, consignees, and other trade stakeholders. By digitizing this process, it significantly reduces the time required for cargo release, allowing businesses to complete tasks that once took up to 48 hours in as little as 10 minutes. With Trade+ now integrated into the Dubai Trade Single Window for Trade and Logistics, users can experience an average 90% reduction in transaction times and handle larger trade volumes more efficiently.
Beyond improving operational efficiency, Trade+ offers substantial environmental benefits by eliminating paper-based processes. In 2024 alone, the platform has helped save an estimated 2.36 million documents from being printed, while also reducing the carbon emissions linked to travel, fuel consumption, and congestion.
Dubai Trade has invested heavily in the development of Trade+, ensuring the platform meets the evolving needs of businesses and continues to provide enhanced value. The service will undergo ongoing improvements to offer even greater benefits and efficiencies for trade operations.
The launch of Trade+ underscores Dubai Trade’s commitment to advancing trade through digital solutions, aligning with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33. This initiative aims to further establish the emirate as a global trade and logistics hub, while also supporting the city’s Smart City vision, which seeks to make Dubai one of the world’s most technologically advanced and sustainable urban centers.
