Take North American Industries, Inc. (NAI), for example.
It has supplied a sugar refinery in Peru with a crane comprising two 12.5 ton hoists and a precast concrete facility in Chile with a 12 ton gantry crane for outdoor Class E severe duty use.
NAI has also received an order from a paper mill in Mexico for a 10 ton bridge crane with upgraded drives and controls. A steel service centre in Colombia, meanwhile, requires three 3 ton semi-gantry cranes, a 25 ton bridge crane, a 10 ton bridge crane, and five 5 ton bridge cranes all with spans ranging between 60 and 80 feet.
Finally, a customer in Venezuela has placed an order for a 5 ton double girder double leg gantry crane with NEMA 4X enclosures.
Among the new products set to be unveiled at ProMat this week is the CattronConnect from remote control firm Cattron Group International. CattronConnect provides “improved safety and increased reliability for overhead crane operations,” it said.
It supplies remote monitoring of crane health, real-time data logging and alarm notifications through constant monitoring of critical components. The system provides access to a customised, secure website as well as email alert notification of pre-defined faults and failures.
Cattron will also exhibit its new LRC-M1, a medium size joystick controller for cranes, lifting equipment and machines used in demanding industrial environments.
If you’re going to be on the show floor, visit Cattron at booth 1859 and Hoist at booth 252.
